NARCO

A potent herbicide from the sulfonylureas chemical group, NARCO contains nicosulfuron 4% OD  and is primarily absorbed through the leaves, exhibiting a mild residual action. It effectively inhibits the ALS enzyme, crucial for the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids, leading to the cessation of weed growth, discoloration, and subsequent necrosis in young, actively growing leaves. Optimally used as an early or late post-emergent treatment, NARCO is particularly effective against annual grass weeds and perennial seed species in their early stages of development (2-3 leaves, before tillering). For more mature perennial weeds with rhizomes, higher doses are required during advanced vegetation phases (10-25 cm) to ensure sufficient foliar mass absorption and effective translocation to underground propagating organs. To maximize efficacy, it is critical that no precipitation occurs within 4-5 hours after application, allowing for complete herbicide uptake
