Cormec

Featuring Cyhalofop-butyl 10% EC
CORMEC is a herbicide uniquely safe for rice, operating as a systemic agent that navigates through plant phloem to specifically target leaves and leaf sheaths. It impedes the essential enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), crucial for fatty acid synthesis, thereby disrupting cell growth and division, and damaging lipid-rich structures such as membranes. This leads to weed death within 1-3 weeks. Characterized by its gradual action, post-application symptoms include significant shrinkage and death of shoots in the four-leaf stage, while older leaves at the second-leaf stage show minimal change. Specifically designed for both transplanted and direct-seeded rice, CORMEC’s selectivity stems from the rapid degradation of Cyhalofop-butyl into an inactive form against ACCase, ensuring not only the safety of rice but also of subsequent crops due to its rapid decomposition in soil and water, affirming CORMEC’s role as an effective and safe herbicidal choice for rice cultivation.
